Description

Located in Woluwe Saint-Lambert, our courses welcome students of all levels. From total beginners, to professional fighters and those who just want to stay in shape.

The Brazilian Jiujitsu is a martial art from the traditional Japanese Jujitsu and the Luta Brazilian Book. Being essentially composed of ground fight, the “JJB” is accessible to any age and to any physical level. It is practiced in kimono or wrestling in a form better known as “Grappling” very practiced especially by the fighters of MMA (Mixed Martial Art).

During a fight, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner tries to bring his opponent to the ground and then take a superior position on it in order to push him to abandon with the help of a key technique on a joint or a choke.

The positions sought during the fight on the ground are the positions that give the greatest advantage to strike an opponent (self-defense) or to push him to abandon (during the practice of sport).

The techniques used in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu are projections, controls, ground inversions, constrictions, muscular compressions, arm and leg keys.

The practice of many educational activities allows the practitioner to learn to move on the ground. It is this ease on the ground that gives the practitioner the advantage over an even more powerful opponent. This discipline that favors technique and placement and not force or weight is adapted to all, whatever the previous sporting experience
